Chanute teen facing sex crime against minors charges

A senior at Chanute High School faces several charges of sex crimes against minors.
Zachery Thouvenell, who turned 18 on Wednesday, is currently being charged as a juvenile, due to when the events happened, but motions have been filed to prosecute him as an adult, due to the seriousness of the crimes.
He's been charged with multiple counts of rape, sodomy and indecent liberties with a child in four separate cases.
More charges are expected against Thouvenell as his next court appearance is set for February 12th
