Joplin man sentenced to ten years for kidnapping, assault and stealing

A Joplin man will spend a decade behind bars after he plead guilty to kidnapping, assault and stealing. In June, 28-year-old Moses Ramsey was found hidden in a closest at a home on South Murphy after police got a call that a man had been assaulted and tied up. A count of armed criminal action was dropped with the plea deal. He was sentenced to ten years for each charge but they will all run concurrently.

You’ll remember Ramsey was also charged in late 2017 with being an accomplice in the killing of 47-year-old Sean Harris, but those charges were dropped when Ramsey agreed to help investigators in the case against the presumed shooter, 48-year-old Artilius Jordan.
