Alleged murder suspect still on the loose after standoff

A nearly five-hour “police operation” took place late last night in Joplin as police searched for a murder suspect. The standoff took place at 2022 South Harlem Avenue.

Police Captain Trevor Duncan says they received information that 33-year-old Michael Osborne was at the home, so a search warrant was obtained via credible information, and SWAT responded to the scene.

And while Osborne was not found, Duncan says he is still considered dangerous.

Osborne is 6 foot 4, 217 pounds and has tattoos on his forearms that read “NO EFFORT”
