Galena native Jake LaTurner announces U.S. Senate bid

Current Kansas State Treasurer and Galena native Jake LaTurner has announced that he will be running for the U.S. Senate in 2020. This comes less than a week after four-term GOP Senator Pat Roberts announced he would not run for re-election. The 31-year-old Pittsburg State graduate is the youngest elected statewide official in America and the first to officially declare candidacy thus far in the state.
