MERS Goodwill Goes Bagless

A store that calls themselves the original recyclers is now going even more green to save themselves some money, but also help the environment. MERS Goodwill began the year by going bagless. So instead of bagging your purchase in plastic, you can buy one of their reusable bags made from recycled materials for a dollar, or bring your own reusable or plastic bags. The initiative covers most Goodwill stores in Missouri, and some in southern Illinois. Goodwill executives anticipate the move will save the landfill from atleast 3 million bags each year.
