Joplin Police 3rd Quarter Report

The Joplin Police Department has seen a slight decrease in use of force and number of arrests from the same time last year. In a quarterly report released by the department, officers used some level of force 25 times to affect an arrest; that’s once in every 71 arrests from July thru September.

1,785 people were arrested on a total of nearly 4,000 criminal charges during the third quarter of this year.
