Woman charged with buying bullets used in double homicide in Springfield

(AP) A Springfield woman has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly buying the bullets used in a shooting that left two dead and two wounded.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that 25-year-old Nyadia Burden also was charged with two counts of first-degree assault. No attorney is listed for her in online court records.

Charging documents say Burden told police she bought the ammo for 23-year-old Luis Perez and 19-year-old Aaron Anderson to make herself look cool. Police say she was having a sexual relationship with Perez.

Perez and Anderson are charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 1 shooting that killed 38-year-old Steven Marler and 23-year-old Aaron Hampton. Perez faces an additional murder charge in a woman's death one day later at another Springfield home.
