Shots Fired In Rural Pittsburg

A report of shots fired in Rural Pittsburg yesterday (10/29) lands one man in jail.
Just before 2 yesterday afternoon, Gary Dean Tomasi of Frontenac, KS reported that 44-year-old Tony Corbitt of Pittsburg had fired a weapon at him on 560 Avenue after an altercation that began in Frontenac.
Tomasi says that his vehicle was rammed by Corbitt who was driving a black Chevrolet. Tomasi also reported to law enforcement that Corbitt had left the area after firing the weapon at him.
Corbitt was located on US 69 Bypass and stopped by officers. Corbitt was driving a reported stolen vehicle from Pittsburg. Corbitt was taken into custody for three active warrants, Theft and Aggravated Assault.
A weapon was not located and the investigation is continuing. Corbitt was transported to the Crawford County Jail and is being held without bond.
