Joplin Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A man from Joplin was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says just before 4:30 p.m., 56-year-old Donald Gilmore was traveling south on Highway 86 two miles south of Joplin when he went off the road, hit a sign and was ejected from his bike. He was pronounced dead a short time later. This is Troop D's 116th fatal accident of 2018.
