Joplin Miracle League Asking for Donations to Replace Equipment Shed

The Miracle League of Joplin has created a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to replace the equipment shed that was burned to the ground on Saturday, October 6th in an act of vandalism. The shed and all its contents were destroyed. Located next to the Will Norton Miracle Field, the shed held the League’s baseball equipment, uniform shirts and hats, merchandise the League sells, printed materials, coolers, tables, a pop-up tent, a sound system, the League mascot and other items.

“While we are terribly disappointed that this occurred, we have been overwhelmed with the generosity of our community,” said Eric Secker, president of the Miracle League of Joplin. “We’ve had numerous businesses and organizations reach out to us to see how they could help. Our main goal is to get the shed and the equipment replaced before the start of our Spring Season in April.”
