Miami Voters Pass Sales Tax

In an overwhelming show of support, the city of Miami will be getting new roads after voters approved a sales tax Tuesday.

The propostion passed with a nearly 70% majority, much better than last time it was attempted. It raises city sales taxes to 9.5% for the next 15 years.

The city plans to begin work on the roads by October.
