A shootout between the Highway Patrol and a Texas man turns deadly Tuesday.
The Secret Service called cops in Cuba, Missouri telling them about the suspect was in their area and armed. Police saw him and tried to pull him over, but he ran. That's when the Highway Patrol got involved, setting spike strips up on I-44. The man jumped out of the car, gun in hand.
Sheriff Randy Martin in Crawford County, Missouri says the suspect later died at the hospital from his injuries. The officer involved hasn't been identified.
