Jury Selection Begins for Israel Mireles Trial
The trial for the man accused of killing 18-year old southeast Kansas college student Emily Sander will soon be underway as potential jurors are reviewed. 26-year old Israel Mireles is charged with the murder and rape of Sanders, who led a double life as an internet porn star. Her body was found just days after witnesses saw her leave a bar with Mireles. While running from police, Mireles made a stop in Baxter Springs to pick up his pregnant 16-year-old girlfriend before fleeing to Mexico.
