A man from Joplin wanted on charges of rape, assault and kidnapping has turned himself in.
The Newton County Sheriff's Department says 27-year-old Thomas King came back to the authorities on his own after officers and deputies had begun to search for him. King is accused or raping a 19-year-old woman from Webb City for 17 hours before she was finally able to get away.
Investigators say King threatened to kill the victim and her family if she told anyone and took pictures of her while he made her sit naked on the floor.
