In a story we first brought you over the weekend, investigators are now waiting as an autopsy is underway on the body of a baby boy found Saturday in the Spring River.
Carthage Police Chief Greg Dagnan gives us the latest on the case.
8-month-old Eddie Salazar's father, Eddie Salazar, Sr., is currently facing charges for filing a false report. He's still being held on $100,000 bond.
Dagnan says at the peak of the search, they had more than 100 investigators working on the case from several organizations. They're now compiling reports which will be forwarded to the prosecutor when the autopsy results come back.
