A survey was recently conducted across Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas to see how confident consumers are about their financial futures. Only 19% of Missourians feel their situation will improve over the next year, while 28% of Arkansans, and 34% of Oklahomans felt the same. Joplin's Arvest Bank President Doug Doll tells News Talk KZRG the purpose of the survey is to get a better idea of what their customers need.
"If the consumer is very optimistic, we're going to anticipate more brisk lending demand, and more frequent use of bank products."
Doll says one of the reasons Oklahomans have such a bright financial future is because their economy is benefiting from the energy industry.
