Carthage Church Rebuffed by National Guard

A Carthage church has found itself at odds with the National Guard. The Bible Baptist Church in Carthage had special guests during their Vacation Bible School last week, including local police and fire departments, but when they invited the National Guard to stop by, they were told that participating in the VBS was against federal military policy. Pastor Kent Hogan says he's disappointed:

"I find it interesting that they can do gay pride parades, and they did an appearance at a church in Virginia, so it's not like they've never done it before. I was shocked. You hear about this happening in big cities, but this is Carthage."
