Joplin YPN Vows to Continue Push for Recycling Initiative

A group that wanted to see Joplin start a curbside recycling program isn't giving up, despite an advisory referendum losing in Tuesday's election. Drew Kimble with the Young Professionals Network tells News Talk KZRG they still want the City to consider it.

"We want to continue to push the issue when it comes to the City Council. We do want to ask them to be mindful of the cost of curbside recycling."

The proposal on Tuesday's ballot would have added $3.03 to your utility bill for curbside recycling. While Kimble wasn't happy with that cost, he also said he'd leave it up to the City Council to figure out what curbside recycling should cost.
