Life of Hope Ministries Premiering Documentary

Life of Hope Ministries, an organization that works to raise funds for food, medical clinics, construction, and education in the slums of Guatemala City will be hosting a movie night featuring Reparando, a documentary featuring the work done within the ministry. The owners of the Route 66 Theater in Webb City, Nancy and Scott Hutson became involved with the organization and took a trip to Guatemala after being invited by a friend. She tells News Talk KZRG she could see the ministry making a differnce in the impoverished city.

"We could go down there and see that the people were getting fed. That the kids were getting the opportunity to get educated so they could get out of that generational poverty. Things like that that just really opened our heart."

And all of the proceeds from the night will go to the ministry.

"So what we're going to do is a $25 a person evening, and then all of the money will go to benefit Life of Hope."

The movie premieres Thursday, March 6th at 7 p.m. There's even an after-party following the film with appetizers. Get tickets by calling Nancy at 417-825-0080.
