Somewhere in Jasper County this week, a "no refusal" sobriety checkpoint will be set up. Sergeant John Hicks of the Jasper County Sheriff's Office tells News Talk KZRG how the no refusal checkpoint differs from a regular checkpoint.
"In the event that a subject was to refuse to give a breath sample, we're going to have the Jasper County prosecutor's office and a judge on site and we're going to type up a search warrant where we can get a blood sample."
Hicks says the DWI checkpoints are a very good deterrent to keep people from drinking and driving.
