Flood Concerns for Missouri
St. Louis (AP) -- Residents of some river towns in Missouri are getting just a little jittery as minor flooding has begun early this year.
Rain across much of the state in recent days has done nothing to ease concerns.
The Mississippi River is above flood stage in parts of northeast Missouri. The Missouri River is bulging in the middle of the state, and some tributaries of the bigger rivers are also flooding.
Heavy rain last fall and lots of snow in northern states are cause for concern for river watchers in Missouri.
The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for parts of eastern Missouri for early in the week.
