A murder in Granby and an arrest.  Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland tells News Talk KZRG deputies were called to a home at 1264 Spruce around 2:15 Monday afternoon (3/30).

"Upon arrival, we discovered a body of a 58-year-old male who resides at that residence.  Apparently had been shot.  And then about 3:00,  Newton County deputies made the arrest of a 65-year-old female outside of Neosho."

No names have been released.  Copeland says the suspect and victim knew each other, but would not elaborate further.
Another twist in the suicide of Tom Schweich: his media director, Spence Jackson, was found dead Sunday in his Jefferson City home, and police are investigating the death as a suicide. Jackson was one of the loudest voices in the Missouri Republican Party calling for GOP Chairman Jon Hancock to resign over an alleged whisper campaign against Schweich.
